Our wine artwork is the inspiration behind Top Note Design.

Wine Memories

When we drink a fabulous bottle of wine it is about more than just the taste and the moment it is also about creating memories.  Of course, you can keep a tasting note about the wine.  You can even make a diary style entry in your wine record book.  However, many of us like to keep the bottle, the cork or, in our case, the capsule.  Our first pieces of wine artwork were based on the capsules of some of our favourite bottles of wine.  We used colours which were evocative of the wine region and of the wine itself.  We wanted to capture the impression of the wine and the occasion in our design.   Our limited edition giclée artwork is printed on fine art paper and comes framed in a sylish white painted frame.  Ready to hang in your home.  They make wonderful wall art for a wine room.

It is these designs based on capsules from some classic French wines that are the basis of table mats and coasters.  We stock square table mats in sets of four featuring either four wine from the Rhone or four wines from Burgundy.  Matching coaster sets and serving mats are also available.  If you prefer round table mats we sell these in sets of six featuring a gorgeous Mis En Bouteille au Chateau capsule design.  We also sell matching round coasters.

Glass Cloths

We create glass cloths to polish every wine glass beautifully.  We screen print onto fine linen union fabric to help achieve a sparkling lint free finish and we’ve added a hanging loop to make them easy to store in your kitchen or bar.

Our original artwork is the basis for each design and we also make sure there is wine theme.  Firstly there is our bottle of bubbles which a champagne bottle filled with details of the the different champagne bottle sizes and how many glasses they contain.  And secondly how about a screen print of one of our wine capsule art prints.  Finally, and new for 2022, we are creating two new tea towels featuring the most popular red wine and white wine grapes of France.  Not only will you have an attractive piece of wine art to add to your home you will also have the chance to brush up on your wine knowledge along the way.  Check out our instagram account @topnotedesign for news of our latest designs and product launches.

UpCycled Fine Wine Bottle Lamps

Our table lamps are handmade to create a stunning talking point in your home.

Every bottle of wine holds a story.  The story of the time and place where it was created is captured in the bottle.  Then there is your story.  Of the friends you share the wine with, the occasion and the place.  There are so many memories to capture.  We have created beautiful collection of some of our favourite bottles.  They range in size from small single bottle desks to magnums and beyond.

However, we can also create a bespoke lamp from your own bottle if you have one that you would like to save.  Every lamp is converted with care using brass fittings and silk twisted flex.  You will be creating a wine artwork that can be kept in the home for years.  Every bottle will continue to tell the story of the wine it once contained.  This is the beginning of a new tale.
