Thoughts on a Wine Cellar

Henry Goulding (1967 – 2017)

Henry started to write Thoughts on a Wine Cellar when he realized that he was not going to be able to enjoy the future with his family and legions of friends. He wanted to give us all a guide to the wines he had laid down and an opportunity to hear his voice when he was no longer with us. He has left us with a marvellous gift.

Thoughts on a Wine Cellar

This is not a text book of facts and figures, of which there are so many good examples nowadays. It is a book of memory, of ignorance, of passion, of opinions, some of them no doubt misguided. But they are opinions born of joy and sharing, of tongues loosened in idle chatter, of a shared interest and a carefree insouciance as to the veracity of the expressed view.
