Description
This linen union glass cloth with a Jaboulet design is based on the capsule of this famous winegrower from the Rhone. Top Note Design began as a project to create beautiful artwork based on wine foils. This is one of the very first designs we completed and it is still one of my favourites. As we began to branch out into screen printing and to creating homewares we wanted to use this design again. We love the french blue that is the key colour in the design. This colour immediately conjures up France and wonderful holidays taken touring the wine regions. Naturally, we were tasting as we went. This colour has become a signature for Top Note Design. We hope you love this glass cloth as much as we do.
Jaboulet has one of the longest histories of any winery or negociant in the world. Founded in 1834. The family ran the winery for six generations before selling it in 2006. The vineyards are mostly in the Northern Rhone where both red and white wines are made. These wines are widely available. You can pop into Tesco or Majestic and buy an entry level bottle. However, if you want to try Jaboulet’s most celebrated wine, Hermitage La Chapelle you will need to look at a specialist wine merchant. Here is a link to Tanners who sell a good range.
This gorgeous linen union tea towel is exclusive to Top Note Design.
An original piece of wine inspired art. We still create artwork for wine lovers and are happy to take commissions for one-off pieces. If you would like more details do get in touch.
